2011 Ford Mustang GT Front Three Quarter Promo
"2014 is weighing very heavily on us right now," said one highly placed source at Ford Motor Company of Detroit exhibition. The date is significant because it will be the 50th anniversary of the Mustang, and aims to be the all new Ford ponycar market celebrations.
But Ford's global program on the rear drive platform apparently dead, Dearborn product planners are trying to figure out exactly how they will build, especially given that CEO Alan Mulally reiterated his position that the Detroit automakers could more capacity building vehicles for each country.
Under the plan, global rear-drive platform, the 2014 Mustang to share the basic architecture of next generation Australian Ford Falcon, and perhaps a new flagship sedan for Lincoln. Mustang would be a short wheelbase version of the platform, the bum in the middle of the wheelbase, and Lincoln for a long wheelbase. But the strategy has changed, for three key reasons:
1) sedan will be pressure behind the United States require lightweight platform architecture to help meet upcoming fuel economy and emissions standards. 2) Blue Australian sales slumped last year more than 30,000 units, the lowest level in the history of the nameplate to 49 years in Australia. 3) While it has avoided bankruptcy, Ford burned through a lot of money last year, and can not afford to spend on the development of architecture will be complex, but relatively niche.
By the time the new could appear rear-drive Lincoln, the Town Car is out of production for three or four years, and high gasoline prices in Australia, nobody expects a big increase in sales of Falcon. It seems that these factors together have conspired to torpedo-back pressure on the global stage. "In [the next generation rear-drive] Blue is dead," said one Ford insider outdoors, all in the certificate.
For all insist, our source will drive the 2014 Mustang rear. And, he adds, it will (eventually) to have an independent rear suspension. Put the two facts in the context of pressure on the back of the global scene and attitudes league Mullaly, and has only one logical conclusion: The next-generation Mustang to become a global car platform built rear disc itself.
Ford reportedly planners are looking at three possible routes of 2014 Mustang. The evolution of an existing car, with styling cues that will appeal to the traditionalist, and continued focus on the 5.0-liter V-8 engine like a halo - the first - and perhaps the easiest. The second is more than a M3-style car, possibly turbocharged V-6 power markets like Europe. The third - and probably least likely, says our source - is to change the Mustang coupe in ultra-high tech, ultra high performance along the lines of giant killing Nissan GT-R.
Regardless of the overall leadership of the next generation Mustang will almost certainly be smaller cars and lighter than the current coupe to enable it to meet more stringent gas mileage goals. As a side benefit, it would be better suited for the markets of Europe and Asia, too.
The style is a hot topic of debate. The Mustangs 2005 and 2010, clearly inspired by their ancestors in the mid 60s, a great success, but inside I doubt if Ford could go down the road retro third time and get away with it.
So what should a 21st century kind Mustang car to be: Pan-American ponycar; the M3 coupe sophisto-style Godzilla or killer? And what should it look?
Your comments below, please. The folks at Ford will be read.

2011 Ford Focus Side View
When Ford CEO Alan Mulally to take significant credit in 2007, with the entire company, such as security, it looked like a desperate move by vehicle to the rope. Come 2009, Mulally began to look like a genius.
Thank you for all loans, Ford does not need to ask the government for a loan or file bankruptcy, and therefore did not get the public ridicule that rival cities have done. In addition to public relations victory, Ford's main beneficiaries of the program "scrappage" (Ford, in particular, the explorers in the 90s, is one of the most common trade ins, and C4C). And with products at the right time, such as the F-150 2009 Fusion and 2010, sales fell more slowly than the overall market and the Blue Oval ended in 2009, a larger market share.
Waiting (and after the launch of the Fiesta), Ford's product line is enough to build a victory in 2009. Click the link to the following pages highlight all the cooking 2011th Dearborn
2012 Ford Focus Let's Get Small: Ford B-and C-car numbers for the Next Big Thing, while crossover Replace Trucks (more)
The test covers all the angles, when Ford launched the Ford Focus in 2012, a year before selling. "I do not know when to lift the pen," said an analyst. "The Cruze is the toast" to deal with reporters. Yes, well, everything rings true. Jewellike '12 Focus sedan car, and I have a lot of side-lining the course.
If the North American Focus Focus reconverge EU, you can opt for a four-door hatchback or a funky four-door luxury sedan, which recently found two of the 2010 Detroit show a high level of Titanium finish, of both middle-Fusion band stamp price. Ford settles quickly into the small end of the range, two body styles are also Focus and Fiesta. In the early show will almost certainly fall 2010 Focus mediocre sales.
Ford also gave an overview of the "rat" in sync, the simple four-button switch. This package is part entertainment, expanded recently, and called MyFord MyLincoln, which is a high resolution display of eight-inch in the center console, and MiFi WiFi (when the park), enhanced voice control, audio system, Sony brand, and two USB port, and three RCA, an SD card slot. Reboot, and training.

2010 New FORD MUSTANG-Muscle Matters

Aside from the sexy new body (only the roof is carried over), the new Ford Mustang uses the same basic mechanical components as the old one. Same chassis, same engine. But, Ford has added higher-spec components to the base model with the aim of making the new ‘Stang better than the old one.

Inside, there’s a new, less rental car-like interior complete with soft touch plastics, greater sound deadening and shiny new instruments. It’s a nicer place to spend time; it looks better (especially with the addition of the aluminum trim), it’s much quieter and it now features Ford’s tacky MyColor LED lighting, most notably on the scuff plates on the door sill.

Outside there's new mirrors, hidden washer nozzles and a repositioned radio aerial (it’s on the rear quarter panel now) also contribute to a reduction in wind noise, while integrated indicators, a new hood bulge (used across all models), a new grille and a more creased body combine to great effect, making the Mustang’s basic shape much more lithe.

Under the hood, the engines are carried over. The V8-equipped GT now makes 315 HP (up from 300) thanks to the addition of the cold air intake from the Bullitt. That intake is also good for a .3 second reduction in 0-to-60 times. Want more shove? Add premium gas for about a 10 lb-ft increase in torque between 1,000 and 4,000 RPM.

2010 Ford Mustang GT is equipped with both the premium and track packs. While the premium pack brings Ford’s awesome SYNC nav/entertainment system and “real aluminum trim” (they’re really excited about that), it’s the track pack that you’ll really want to care about. Know how the new GT gets the old Bullitt’s suspension? Well the track pack brings the suspension and carbon-plate diff from the Shelby GT500. Only available with the optional 19” wheels (along with a massive front strut brace). It also includes upgraded brake pads, a 3.73 differential gear and summer performance tires. The Mustang’s engineers were so excited about the performance possible with the track pack, that they’ve managed to convince Ford to make it available at cost: about $1,495 on top of the GT’s $27,995.

New Ford Fusion Hybrid

FORD Smartguage Instrument Panel
The user interface is smooth and polished, with no lag in between screens and the interface proved far easier to use than we expected. The twin 4.3" TFT LCD screens that flank the center, traditional speedometer run at 800x480 pixels, which is basically high definition resolution, and are incredibly easy on the eyes. The screens are manipulated using steering wheel mounted buttons and the myriad options are easy to navigate. The gauges are completely reconfigurable, but you can pick predefined packs of gauges ranging from super simple fuel and temp all the way up to NORAD command central level, graphing fuel economy in real time and reporting specs on your last trip, power draw from accessories, and output from the gas engine and hybrid engine independently. Based on our limited time with the thing we were impressed. This system will compliment the hybrid tech on the Fusion quite nicely and give customers that "surprise and delight" designers are always after.Yeah, LCD instrument panel, Michael Knight, eat your heart out.
Harder acceleration causes the EV window to the shrink. Back off the accelerator and the window expands. The size of the window is dependent on several factors including the temperature, driver demand and battery state of charge. As the power output needle falls within the EV window, the engine shuts off. The key turns out to be to modulate the accelerator to keep the needle inside the window.
Spending more time with the Fusion would certainly lead to getting a better feel for maximizing mileage without constantly looking at the gauge. However, really maxing out the fuel economy takes a lot of concentration. This level of concentration is probably far more than can be expected of most drivers. They will likely find themselves just looking at the leaves that grow as driving becomes more efficient. Our guess is that, realistically, most drivers will probably see numbers in the mid- to upper-30 mpg range.

All the Fusions, including the hybrid, are much more refined for 2010 with effort spent particularly on noise, vibration and harshness. Structural components have been enhanced to reduce vibrations, while new seals and acoustic materials keep out exterior ambient noise and absorb what does get through.

Ford claims the Fusion Hybrid is capable of “at least 39 MPG City/37 MPG highway.” The fact that we managed to best those figures while driving in heavy Los Angeles traffic (passing through Beverly Hills and Hollywood) illustrates the degree to which driving style can effect fuel economy. The Toyota Camry Hybrid, the Fusion's chief competitor, is officially rated at 33 MPG city/34 MPG highway.A fuel economy of whopping 43.8 MPG was achieved during the test drive by the popular auto journalists Jalopnik and Autoblogreen.

Overall, the Fusion hybrid is an outstanding effort on Ford's part. The engineering team led by Gil Portalatin and JD Shanahan has wrought improvements across the board on the mid-size sedan family. At this moment in time, the hybrid in particular appears to be the head of the class by a significant margin. Of course, Toyota and other competitors never sleep and the Camry will surely get updated soon. Hyundai also has a Sonata Hybrid coming later in 2010. However, the Fusion Hybrid is a car that buyers looking for a high-mileage sedan should definitely consider.
