Renault FluenceRomania

Renault FluenceRomania

Remember Renault's 2004 Fluence concept car that inspired the styling of the Laguna Coupe? Well, the only common denominator between the sexy prototype (see pics below) and this compact-sized sedan is their name... Virtually a rebadged version of the Korean market Samsung SM3 that was revealed earlier this year, the Fluence is the sedan variant of the Megane and it will be initially sold only in Russia, Romania and Turkey.

Following its world premiere earlier in the year at the Geneva motor show, the new Megane Sport Tourer has arrived in Renault's UK showrooms with customer deliveries starting in November. At launch, the range includes 21 models, spread across four trim levels - Expression, Dynamique, TomTom Edition and Privilege, with prices ranging between £15,485£22,785 on-the-road, while a further trim level, Extreme, will follow in the autumn

These images are of the 2011 Kia Sportage SUV, revealed via Kia’s patent filing with the EU Patent Office. It shows either the production version or as some suggest, the near production concept that could be paraded at the upcoming Geneva or Seoul motor shows. The Sportage is scheduled to hit domestic showrooms towards the end of 2010 or by the first quarter of 2011.

Lamborghini History
Ferrucio Lamborghini was born during 1916 in a Italian farming village called Renazzo di Cento, Ferrara. He was drafted into the Italian service during World War II where he repaired vehicles. After the war, Ferrucio began building tractors out of his garage using army surplus left behind by the Allied Forces. There was a strong demand for his products and which allowed for him to move into larger facilities. In 1959 the Lamborghini production was extended to burners and air conditioning units. The businesses became so successful that he became one of the wealthiest individuals in Italy.

According to a contemporary issue of Road Test magazine (June 67), a "muscle car" is "Exactly what the name implies. It is a product of the American car industry adhering to the hot rodder's philosophy of taking a small car and putting a BIG engine in it ..The Muscle Car is Charles Atlas kicking sand in the face of the 98 hp (73 kW) weakling." Author of the book Muscle Cars the quote is drawn from, Peter Henshaw, furthers that the muscle car was designed for straight-line speed, and did not have the "sophisticated chassis", "engineering integrity" or "lithe appearance" of European high-performance cars

Opinions vary as to whether high-performance full-size cars, compacts, and pony cars qualify as muscle cars.
